Bagerhat
Sixty Dome Mosque, Khan Jahan Ali's tomb and Mongla, gateway to the Sundarbans
Bagerhat is famous for its 15th-century Sultanate-era architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Mongla port in the south is the usual gateway to the Sundarbans. Old mosques, large ponds and mangrove forest make it good for both a day of heritage sightseeing and a longer forest trip.
