📖 About this place

The Sixty Dome Mosque is one of the largest medieval mosques in Bangladesh, built in the 15th century. Rows of stone pillars carry the roof inside. From outside, the brick walls and the many small domes are the main attraction. A small museum nearby displays archaeological finds from the area.

🚌 How to go

From Bagerhat town it takes 15-20 minutes by auto-rickshaw or rickshaw for BDT 30-80. From Dhaka, take a bus to Bagerhat first and go on from there.

Simple hotels in Bagerhat town cost BDT 800-2,500 a night. Staying in Khulna is a good alternative.

Town restaurants serve rice with bhorta, river fish and local prawn dishes. Fresh green coconut water is popular around the site.
