📖 About this place

Karamjal is a breeding and viewing centre at the Sundarbans edge, reached by river from Mongla. Wooden walkways let you see mangrove trees, spotted deer and crocodiles. It is an easy way to get to know the Sundarbans if you cannot make a deep-forest trip. Boats and launches for longer trips can be arranged from Mongla.

From Mongla, a trawler or speedboat takes 30-45 minutes. From Khulna to Mongla by bus takes 2-3 hours at BDT 100-200; a boat hire costs BDT 1,500-3,500.
