Bhola is the country's largest island, formed between the Meghna and Tetulia rivers. Wide river waves, newly risen chars and hilsa fishing villages all meet here. Reaching it takes some time, but the island's quiet beauty makes up for it.
🚌 How to reach from Dhaka
A launch from Dhaka's Sadarghat takes 8–10 hours, with deck fares of BDT 300–500 and cabins of BDT 1,200–3,500. From Barishal a trawler or speedboat reaches Bhola in 1–2 hours for BDT 200–500. Bhola has an airstrip but flights are limited.
