Near Bhuapur the Jamuna Bridge spans the huge Jamuna River and links the east and west of the country. The riverbank and chars beside it are good for an afternoon outing. A boat shows the bridge from the water. Nearby restaurants serve fresh river fish.

Dhaka to the bridge area by bus takes 2.5-3.5 hours for 200-350 BDT. From Tangail town a CNG takes 40-60 minutes.
