The Shah Jalal Dargah is a key religious site in Sylhet town, housing the shrine of the Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Jalal. Visitors from home and abroad come daily. The complex includes a mosque, a pond and many pigeons. Fridays and festivals are the busiest.

From within Sylhet town it is 10-20 minutes by rickshaw or CNG, costing BDT 50-150. From Dhaka take a train or bus to Sylhet.
