Satkhira lies on the western Sundarbans and the Indian border. The Jashoreswari Temple at Shyamnagar and the forest routes of Burigoalini and Kaikhali are its main draws. Prawn farming, mangoes and freshwater fish are also well known.
🚌 How to reach from Dhaka
Buses from Dhaka take 6-8 hours via the Padma Bridge at BDT 600-1,200. Alternatively take a train to Khulna and continue by bus (about 2 hours, BDT 120-200). Shyamnagar is another 2-3 hours by bus from Satkhira town.
