📖 About this place

Founded in 1910, the Varendra Museum holds stone and metal sculptures, inscriptions, coins and terracotta plaques. Sculptures from the Pala and Sena periods are a highlight. Run under Rajshahi University, it helps explain the history of the Varendra region. The building itself is an architectural attraction.

From central Rajshahi it is 10 to 15 minutes by rickshaw for BDT 30 to 60. From Dhaka, take a bus or train to Rajshahi and go from there.
