📖 About this place

Kotwali Darwaza is a main gate of the Gaur fortress, believed to date from the 1520s. The tall brick archway gives an idea of Sultanate military architecture. Mosque and tank ruins are scattered around it. It can be combined with a visit to the Chhota Sona Mosque on one trip.

From Shibganj it takes 30 to 40 minutes by CNG or auto for BDT 100 to 200. From Chapainawabganj town it is about 1.5 hours in total.
