📖 About this place

The Chhota Sona Mosque was built in the late fifteenth century under Sultan Hussain Shah. It earned its name because its domes were once covered in gilded layers. Beautifully decorated with brick and stone work, it is on the tentative UNESCO heritage list. Since it lies close to the border, check route guidance before travelling.

🚌 How to go

From Chapainawabganj town it takes about 1.5 hours via Shibganj by bus or CNG, costing BDT 100 to 300. From Dhaka allow 7 to 8 hours in total.
