📖 About this place

Panam Nagar is a row of European-style houses built by wealthy 19th-century merchants of Sonargaon. Domed roofs, iron grilles and narrow lanes still stand. Most buildings are abandoned and weathered, giving the place a mysterious air. It is a great spot for photos and history.

🚌 How to go

From Dhaka take a bus to Mograpara then a CNG, taking 1.5-2.5 hours and 100-250 BDT total. From Narayanganj a CNG takes 30-45 minutes.

Resorts in Sonargaon cost 3,000-10,000 BDT; many return to Dhaka the same day.
