Meherpur holds a special place in Bangladesh's history because the Mujibnagar government took its oath here in 1971. The district sits on the Indian border and is quiet. History, mango orchards and riverbanks make it good for a short trip.
🚌 How to reach from Dhaka
Buses from Dhaka take 6-7 hours at BDT 600-1,000. There is no train, so many come by bus from Kushtia or Chuadanga. Mujibnagar is reachable by auto or CNG from the town.
