📖 About this place

Lawachara is a protected forest spread across Kamalganj and Srimangal. It shelters hoolock gibbons, capped langurs, rare birds and many tree species. A railway line cuts through the forest and is popular for photos. Going early in the morning improves your chances of spotting wildlife.

🚌 How to go

From Srimangal town it is 20-30 minutes by CNG, about BDT 200-400. From Dhaka, take a train to Srimangal and continue from there.

Srimangal has hotels and resorts from about BDT 1,200 to 8,000. Budget travellers can find simple rooms for BDT 1,000-2,000.
