📖 About this place
In Islampur upazila, large chars rise from the Jamuna depending on the season. In winter they show off kash flowers, mustard and peanut fields. Char village life, grazing cattle and boat crossings make for a distinctive experience. It is lesser known, so crowds are thin.
🚌 How to go
From Jamalpur town, a bus or CNG to Islampur takes 1–1.5 hours for 60–150 BDT. A boat to the char then costs around 300–600 BDT.

Islampur has few hotels; staying in Jamalpur town (1,000–2,500 BDT) is easier.
