📖 About this place

Satchari is a protected mixed evergreen forest in Chunarughat upazila. Visitors can look out for hoolock gibbons, monkeys, many bird species and butterflies. Walking trails of roughly 3-5 km wind through the forest, which suits nature lovers. Tea estates and small Khasi and Tripura settlements lie nearby.

🚌 How to go

From Habiganj town it takes around 1.5 hours by CNG or microbus via Chunarughat, costing about BDT 300-600. From Dhaka, take a bus to Shaistaganj or Chunarughat and continue by local transport.

🏨 Where to stay

A few simple resorts and guesthouses near the forest charge BDT 1,500-4,000. Hotels in Habiganj or Srimangal are good budget alternatives.
