Habiganj is a quiet district in the south-west of Sylhet Division where hill forests, tea estates and rural settlements sit side by side. It is close to Dhaka, which makes it a handy choice for a one or two day nature trip.
🚌 How to reach from Dhaka
Buses from Dhaka to Habiganj town take about 4-5 hours and cost roughly BDT 500-900. Sylhet-bound trains such as Parabat and Joyantika stop at Shaistaganj, with fares of about BDT 350-1,200. For Satchari, travel via Shaistaganj or Chunarughat is the most convenient.
