📖 About this place

Lalbagh Fort was begun in 1678 as a Mughal fortress and was never completed. Inside are the tomb of Pari Bibi, an audience hall and a mosque. Green lawns, a water channel and aged brickwork make it a favourite for photos. A small museum shows Mughal-era weapons and coins.

🚌 How to go

It stands in the Lalbagh area of Old Dhaka. From Gulistan or Shahbagh a rickshaw or CNG takes 30-45 minutes and costs about 100-200 BDT.
