Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh and a city more than four centuries old. In Old Dhaka's narrow lanes, Mughal forts, a nawab's palace and many old mosques and temples stand side by side. The river port on the Buriganga and the endless food stalls make it a rewarding place to explore.

🚌 How to reach from Dhaka

Dhaka is reachable by bus, train and launch from every district, and Hazrat Shahjalal Airport is the main air gateway. Inside the city use the metro rail, CNG auto-rickshaws or ride-hailing. From the airport to Old Dhaka a CNG takes about 1-2 hours and costs roughly 400-700 BDT depending on traffic.
