📖 About this place

Haringhata is a sea-facing forest south of Patharghata that shares many traits with the Sundarbans. You can paddle small boats along its narrow creeks into the heart of the trees. At dawn and dusk the birdsong and mist create a special mood. Tourist facilities are minimal, so it suits adventurous visitors.

🚌 How to go

From Barguna, a bus to Patharghata takes 1.5–2 hours and costs BDT 100–200. From Patharghata a trawler or boat reaches the forest in 1–2 hours for about BDT 1,000–2,500.
